You cant do everything, just do the right stuff
Im cross posting a rather awesome video from our good friends over at seomoz today. The video is probably more aimed at in-house seo’s working for large companies, but the advice is pretty solid no matter what level you or your site is at.
The overall message is this: “Work out what gives you the best results based on effort expended, concentrate on that primarily”
What this means in practice is that if you can get good traffic and rankings by doing on-site SEO and creating fantastic content, then you should be concentrating on that. If you have seen, and are able to get best results by sublimating your articles out to lots of other high equity authority sites, then you should concentrate on that.
Lets face it, SEO is a huge project, with thousands of things you “could” be doing. In fact, there are hundreds really that you “should” be doing. At the end of the day we are all restricted by the time we have available and if you dont manage your time and do what gets you the best results, you aren’t going to get anywhere.
Enjoy the video!
Look forward to your comments!
(ps. the sound is improved in this video, I know a few of you complained about the poor quality last time round)
